Events & Programming

One of the linchpins of the Center for Louisiana Studies' mission is its presentation of information to the general public through free lectures, presentations to groups and schools, and other events throughout the Acadiana area.

Bayou State Book Talks is held at the Main Library on the second Tuesday of each month and features recently-published authors discussing their inspiration, research and experience in publishing.

Other events occur throughout the year.  Visit the website often to stay up-to-date on lectures and workshops. If you'd like to have Center staff give a presentation to your group, please contact Jennifer Guidry.
