Tensas Parish

Tensas Parish provides the visitor with an impressive variety of stops.  St. Joseph, the seat of justice in Tensas Parish, is a beautiful steamboat town.  Winter Quarters Plantation State Park provides a glimpse into the opulent life of antebellum planters in the delta region.  The 3,000-acre Lake Bruin State Park offers excellent fishing and beautiful scenery.  Finally, the parish has large wildlife management areas that provide excellent opportunities for hunting and fishing.
